WEST MERCIA AREA

OF MEMBER SOCIETIES OF NADFAS

THE AREA TEAM MEETINGS

The Area Team consists of a Chairman, a Deputy Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and an Education Co−ordinator, who are all elected, and an Area Trainer and Representatives for Young Arts, Church Recording (North and South) and Heritage Volunteers.

Meetings are held twice a year in Colwall Village Hall, one being the AGM, to enable the individual societies to meet the Area Team. Each of the 19 Member Societies sends up to three delegates to these meetings. At the meeting Area Team members give reports on their activities in the previous six months. A speaker, often an executive, trustee or staff member from the National body, gives a presentation on a current topic of interest and each member society is invited to exchange information on their recent lecturers, study days or visits and to exchange ideas for forthcoming events. An equipment adviser is also normally present.

Coffee is available from 10:30 am onwards. The meetings normally start at 11am, and end at around 3 pm. There is a large car park adjoining the hall. Those attending are asked to bring a packed lunch.
