WORCESTERSHIRE ART FUND
Invites NADFAS Members to A VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE
Monday, 5 July 6.30pm to Wednesday, 7 July 2.30pm

CAMBRIDGE
Following the success of a trip to Scotland last year, Worcestershire Art Fund is organising a tour of Cambridge University, its colleges, libraries chapels and treasures. Our guide will be Sally Sandys-Renton, a qualified Cambridge Blue Guide, who has spoken to the Art Fund on 'The Treasures of the Fitzwilliam'. We shall hear about the University's 800 years of history, the achievements of its great minds and characters, its heritage and present range of excellence. King's College Chapel, the Wren Library of Trinity College, St John's College and the Fitzwilliam Museum will be included over one and a half days, although unfortunately Trinity's Great Court will be closed for building work. Members should be prepared for a good deal of walking.
We have arranged accommodation at the Royal Cambridge Hotel. Transport is not included in the cost, so we make our own way there. There are good trains to Cambridge from Birmingham New Street, and parking is available for £5 per night at the hotel. The cost of breakfast is included, but not lunch or dinner. You should arrive at the hotel on Monday evening by 6.30 pm, and our visit will conclude at lunch-time on Wednesday. Tickets, £175 per person, £240 for a single room: Tickets limited. First come first served! Discount for Cambridge graduates. Contact Jane Williams-Thomas for more details
